The gutter system is one of the things to which people don’t pay much attention once they install it. This is not the best approach, though, considering how many things depend on the proper functioning of this simple system and the damages which could appear after bad maintenance. Cleaning the gutter system of your home regularly is one the things you have to do, in order to it in top condition. You will also have to start checking it more often, so that you know when it is time to replace the old and damaged gutter with a new one. What are the consequences of having a weak system you can learn by reading below.

Neglecting the maintenance of this part of your house could lead to serious complications which will cost you a lot of time and money to fix. So, why risk the safety of your home and the comfort of your family when you can simply dedicate a little of your time regularly to the cleaning and inspection of the gutter system of your real estate property? In case you want to learn more about the risks and dangers of the weak system, here they are:

In case you are noticing some dark stains and unpleasant formations in the corners of your walls, and possibly on some other parts of the house, this means that you have mold. At first you may see it only in the basement but over time it could easily spread to the other parts of your house as a result of the dampness from the spilled. It is important to react immediately by fixing the gutter system first and then treating the mold build-ups with special products.

  • Mosquito infestation –

Your clogged gutter system will be an attractive area for a lot of mosquitoes which are looking for a good place to breed. This could be dangerous for you and for the health of your family, so it is essential to take some measure for the cleaning of your gutter system as soon as possible. We all know how unpleasant a mosquito’s bite is, so better save yourself the discomfort of such unpleasant experience.

  • Damaging of the wood –

The water could be extremely dangerous for any wooden elements and decoration of your house. In case they are constantly exposed to water, after a certain period of time their structure will weaken and they will begin to rot. Replacing them won’t be cheap for sure, while the cleaning of your gutter system won’t cost you anything except a little time.

Homemade Shower Cleaner: Easy DIY Recipe

Today, I have a special guest post for y’all from Anna W. Take it away Anna!

Cleaning the shower in the bathroom is just as important as cleaning the toilet, the sink and the other parts of the place. By doing that regularly, you will be able to remove permanently the stubborn stains and also protect the head and the head and the other parts of this important device now and in the future. When it comes to cleaning, it is essential to have cleaning supplies with good quality and the right tools. Instead of spending a lot of money for various toxic products, however, you can simply make disinfecting solutions yourself. It is easy and cheap, and the best part of all is that you will be sure that your family is protected from dangerous chemicals.

Disinfecting your shower daily would be best but, unfortunately, not all people can afford to do this that often. If you are one of them, there is no need to worry. It is possible to remove effectively all grim from the shower in your bathroom , even if you clean it once a week. Thanks to the excellent recipes for homemade shower cleaners NW6 MainCleaners will present to you in this article, you won’t have to worry about the looks of this device anymore.

  • Destroying the hard water spots with white vinegar –

After a while you may notice that there are some unpleasant spots on your shower, which simply don’t want to disappear no matter what you do. Those are probably hard water spots, for which you will need a special cleaner. The ordinary cleaning supplies usually can’t help in a situation like this, so in this case you can just use white vinegar. Pour a small part of the product in a plastic bag and then attach it to your shower’s head with a cord. The vinegar should cover the entire head of the shower and you have to leave the plastic bag there for an hour or more. Then you can scrub the surface of the device and wash it with water.

  • Special cleaning spray with essential oil –

There is a great recipe you can try, which will turn the cleaning of your shower into a pleasant task. You will need a clean spray bottle for the purpose, in which you will have to mix a little liquid dish soap with white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, lemon, or some other essential oil and water. Adding more than one essential oil to the mixture is also an option. Make sure that all ingredients mix well and then you can take a dry cloth and start cleaning your shower from top to bottom.

  • Disinfecting with baking soda –

Another great recipe for homemade shower cleaner includes baking soda, a little filtered water, castille soap and the essential oil that you like so much. This time you can mix the necessary ingredients in a bowl or some other container and in the end you will receive an effective cleaner in the form of a paste. You can apply it on those parts of your shower that need cleaning, then disinfect with a sponge or cloth and rinse in the end with cold water.

Those are three of the best recipes for natural shower cleaners that you can prepare in your own home. Except that they will make the device sparkling clean, they will also save you a lot of money in the future. As you can see, all necessary ingredients are perfectly affordable, so you won’t have any problems preparing the special mixtures any time you like. The cleanness of your shower will be preserved for a long period of time and you won’t have to worry about chemical residue and unpleasant side effects.

Miss May Part Four.

So, here it is. My very last post as May’s blogger of the month for Alabama Women Bloggers.

This week’s post is: Things Gardening Has Taught Me.

And it really has taught me a lot! Mainly because I knew next to nothing when I first started. And believe me, that’s not an exaggeration. Not even close.

I hope you all have enjoyed reading the posts just as much as I have enjoyed writing them!!

Miss May Part Three

My third guest post as the Alabama Women Bloggers blogger of the month is up! You can see it here.

I had so much fun doing the garden project in the post, not least of all because I’m a huge Auburn fan. War Eagle!!!!

I hope you all have enjoyed reading the posts. Next week will be the very last one, and you may just see a familiar face in it. One word. . . Leon. All grown up and showing off his best lip curling expression, of course.

You might also see one of our Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. I had a little impromptu photo session with him and one of our Naked Neck girls yesterday afternoon, and since they’re some of our friendliest chickens they were very cooperative models.

But I went with Mr. Wyandotte’s picture, instead, for the guest post. Mainly because I wasn’t sure if people would take one look at and who plucked her feathers off.

Miss May Part Two

My latest guest post is up on the Alabama Women Bloggers website! Woohoo! Be sure to check it out, here.

This week’s is all about gardening with plants native to Alabama. Did you know when I was doing a little research on the topic (because I literally research everything! Really, I do) I found out something kind of neat? Alabama is home to so many wonderful native plants that we are 5th most floristically diverse state in the whole US. I mean, there are tons of native plants to choose from.

Rabbiteye blueberries, which happen to be native to Alabama.

Oooh! And those blueberries above. They’re mine! Yep, I think my thumb might finally be taking on a greenish hue 🙂

And before I forget, stay tuned for next week’s installment. I’m currently working on it, and I’ll leave you with a little hint, it involves paint. And gardening. Hmmm.
