Thank You Giveaway!

It’s that time of year. . . Time for a giveaway!

Actually, I’m a little late posting this – I had planned to start this giveaway a few days ago, but I’ve been a little distracted lately. So much so, that none of the Christmas decorations are even up, yet (check out my Christmas tree posts, here and here). This is why. . .

Standard Poodle puppies. 10 of them! Every last one brown and ultra adorable 🙂

Mom (our brown and white parti girl, Sophie) is feeling a little overwhelmed. She has every right. After growing up as the daughter and granddaughter of a poodle breeder and spending entirely too much time at vets, I completely understand. . . puppies are a lot of work.

But you’re not here to talk puppies, are you? You’re here for the giveaway, so let’s get started!

Enter to win the following:

A fall inspired set of bath/body items from our Etsy shop, MaidenHillFarm.

That means a bar of pumpkin pie soap, a pumpkin spice bath bomb, and a trio of pumpkin spice sugar cube scrubs.

Surprise.

Two weekends ago, we set out for Georgia for my great uncle’s surprise birthday party.

My grandma and great uncle:

A few more pictures from that weekend.

Warner Robins Trip

We had such a fantastic time: lots of great food, fun, and beautiful scenery.

Did I mention the beautiful scenery?

IMG_4024

I did? But it deserves another mention.

I’m seriously thinking, ‘I have a pond, a hill, and I need a stream flowing down said hill into said pond.’

 With stepping stones.

But back to the fun times.

My grandmother looking at a photo of her parents. They had ten children. Yes, TEN!

And another photo of her father and a few of his many grandchildren. They had numerous grandchildren, even more great grandchildren, and so on.

My Mom

One thing that I’ve always been told about the Chappell family. Over and over again. They’re talkers. Almost everyone of them. Even yours truly at times.

And staging an impromptu photo shoot will probably result in a few outtakes.

But getting together is always a lot of fun. . .

Hope you had a wonderful birthday Uncle Albert! And thank you for sharing it with us!!

What the girls have been doing.

It has rained almost every single day for days and days and days. At this point, I’ve honestly lost track.

Of course, rainy days can make almost anyone ready for a nap, but the girls, Bryony and Sophie, have taken that to new heights.

IMG_3816

In between hurried trips outside to potty (Because seriously, what self-respecting diva-licious farm poodle wants their hair wet?), they’ve napped.

IMG_3825

 And snoozed.

IMG_3834

And dozed away the rainy days, probably dreaming of sunny summery weather. Whatever that is 😉

Considering we’re as waterlogged as you can get right now, they’re doing exactly what I feel like doing.

You know you live in the country when. . . .

your dogs regularly tune in to chicken tv.

IMG_20150410_190731

Wondering what chicken tv is? Basically, the act of watching your chickens doing their chicken-y things through a window. Or in Bryony and Sophie’s case a glass door.

The girls love nothing more than standing at the front door and watching the chicken shenanigans going on.

The photo above was taken today, and the one below, about five months ago.

Literally, they tune in to chicken tv every. single. day. But then, I do, too. 😀
