Sigh. That’s about all I can say right now.
Other than maybe. . . FINALLY.
Finally, the posts are all imported. Finally, the widgets on the sidebar work. Finally, the menu at the top is all sorted out. And finally, the old blog url redirects to the new site.
Whew. I’m done.
Maybe, the layout and the theme I used could be tweaked a little bit. Yeah, definitely.
And the header needs some work. For sure.
And I’d like to change the social media buttons on the sidebar.
Oh, darn. There I go again.
If you can’t tell, I’m in one of those moods that strikes every so often where I want to change everything. Everything is fair game and nothing is safe from the tide of change that is me.
The last time one of these spur of the moment change my whole life around moods struck, I became a soap maker. The time before that, I ended up single. And the time before that, I woke up one day and decided to become a farm girl.
One of the best ideas I’ve ever had. Actually, all three were. Very good ideas. A broken heart (mine) that eventually mended and crowing roosters outside my window at five a.m. notwithstanding. And even though I was a little unsure at first. On all three fronts. . . Lye is scary, but then so is singledom and farm animals. Especially if you were raised in town and certainly not around anything that heehawed or baa’ed.
But this time around, nothing has suffered through the tide of change except maybe the wallpaper, a few pieces of furniture, and this blog.
Oh yeah, I haven’t told you? I’m proud to say, we are almost completely wallpaperless now. The kitchen, which was previously dappled with white and blue faded and beginning to peel paper, is now painted a very lovely shade called mushroom taupe. That was all accomplished one Friday evening a week ago when I looked at it and said, “You’re going down.” And down it came. Up next, my seemingly never ending battle with wallpaper continues on in to the second bathroom and the hall.
As far as furniture (I’ll get around to posting pictures eventually but below is a little sneak peek), but a few pieces might have been sanded down, painted, and then distressed. But all for the better. I swear 😉
And this blog. . . Well, pretty obvious, isn’t it? Everything’s different. And all because I opened up my laptop one afternoon and said, “I’m gonna move my blog.” And I did.
I really need to quit getting these spur of the moment urges for change. But they do almost always turn out for the best. Like, 99% of the time. Hopefully, this one will not be part of the 1%.
